An international M&E contractor is hiring an electrical engineer for a data centre build in Sweden. This is a site role in Gävle, not a design office role. You will take electrical design through installation, commissioning, and handover. You must already be able to work and travel freely in Europe. No visa sponsorship.
What you will do
- Complete electrical design reviews and flag gaps or contradictions in the spec
- Validate cable sizing and make recommendations
- Compile and manage electrical technical submittals through approval, procurement, and receipt verification
- Work with the BIM team so the install is constructible, with space for equipment and cabling
- Walk down electrical systems against drawings and specification
- Compile test packs, FTOPs, and O&Ms
- Manage specialist vendors through commissioning
- Support training at handover
What you will need
- Degree in electrical engineering or building services
- LV and MV experience, ideally on data centres or building services
- At least 4 years' project engineering with an electrical contractor
- A record of delivering electrical work on commercial, industrial, pharma, or data centre projects
- Comfortable with design guides, ETCI or BS7671, and EN and IEC standards
- Useful: Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD 2D, MS Office
- Strong on submittals, walk downs, EHS, and quality
