An international M&E contractor is hiring a Regional EHS Manager to lead Environmental, Health and Safety across projects in Sweden. Permanent, with a 5+ year portfolio of works. You must already be able to work and travel freely in Europe.

About the role

An international M&E contractor is hiring a Regional EHS Manager to provide strategic leadership and oversight of Environmental, Health and Safety performance across multiple projects in Sweden. You will drive compliance, promote a positive safety culture, support the operational teams, and make sure the EHS Management System is implemented consistently on every project in the region.

You must already be able to work and travel freely in Europe. No visa sponsorship. Permanent, with a considerable portfolio of works for the next five years and beyond. The role involves travel across projects in Sweden.

What you will do

  • Lead and support the EHS teams across the region
  • Monitor regional EHS performance, KPIs, audits, incidents, and compliance
  • Ensure consistent implementation of the EHS Management System across all projects
  • Lead serious incident investigations and oversee corrective and preventative actions
  • Conduct regional audits and inspections
  • Provide EHS advice to operational leadership, project teams, and contractors
  • Maintain compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental legislation
  • Develop and deliver EHS initiatives, training, and safety improvement programmes
  • Support tender submissions and prequalification requirements
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and key stakeholders as required

What you will need

  • Degree or diploma at Level 8, or equivalent, in occupational health and safety, environmental management, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years' EHS experience in construction, engineering, electrical, mechanical, or related industries
  • A previous senior EHS leadership role managing multiple projects or locations
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, Construction Regulations, and CDM requirements
  • Experience leading audits, investigations, and EHS management systems
  • Leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and report writing
  • Able to influence, coach, and support teams at all levels
  • Willingness to travel across the region
  • Professional membership, IOSH or equivalent, is desirable
